I had both of my cataracts removed and replaced with implants by Dr. Weisenthal and am blown away by the results, now having better than 20/20 vision and no need for glasses (formerly I wore "coke bottles"). The pre surgery visits and fastidious measurements with the latest equipment and highly profession staff, coupled with the Dr.'s obvious skill and judgement paid off in full. Don't be taken back by the full waiting room and lines at the surgery center check in, we are all getting older and will probably all need cataract surgery if we survive all our other maladies. Despite being one of many, I still felt like I was treated with as much time as I needed to get clear answers to all my questions, and quell my natural aversion to having something sharp poked in my eye.

I was referred to Dr. Weisenthal from my Optometrist after rapidly progressing cataract were making it impossible to enjoy life to it's fullest. His office is very busy, drawing patients from hundreds of miles away, because his reputation for being the best man to do your surgery is well deserved. Being so busy, there is not a lot of time to chat with the Dr. in a leisurely manner during your visit, but his well trained office staff gives you plenty of information while you undergo pre surgery planning and careful measurement for picking out the right implant to replace your faulty natural lens. I now have 20/15 vision in both eyes, and only need glasses to read pill bottle size print. The procedure was quick, painless and miraculous for this former highly myopic patient, and I was shocked to get a phone call at home, the night of my surgery, from the good Dr. himself, to check on my progress.
