This past year I had cataract surgery on both eyes with phenomenal results. There are very few doctors that will call you after surgery to see how you are doing - Dr. Weisenthal is one of them. Appreciated Dr. Weinsenthal's calm, pleasant personality. He met briefly with me on the morning of the surgeries, and made a personal 'check-in-on-me' phone call later both days (cataract surgery - 2 weeks apart). Given the size of his patient load, they could use a larger facility. The office staff is crammed in a small area - almost on top of each other. This cluster situation may have been the reason why on one of my visits I was not logged in as having arrived for my appointment. Normally, the appointment turn around time was 30-60 minutes; but on that day, I was there for 2 hours (even though the actual checkup took 10 minutes). The waiting room lighting was a bit hard on my eyes after the surgery - so I wore the sun glasses as I waited to see Dr. W. The Surgery Center individuals (both reception staff, and medical personnel) were wonderful - they were reassuring and comforting. Each prep-step was explained, and the nurses were very patient with me and my 'eyes' which do not easily cooperate when getting drops. Dr. Weisenthal is extremely skilled - and I am thankful for him.
